Forensic Science

Description

In the Forensic Science CPU, students complete an in-depth exploration of forensic science and many of its subfields, including forensic pathology, toxicology, odontology, entomology, and psychology. Students are introduced to common forensic laboratory procedures, such as hair and fiber microscopy, blood typing, examination of fingerprints and handwriting, and blood spatter analysis. Students also discover the usefulness of DNA evidence and electrophoresis through an easy-to-understand simulation. Although students practice proper safety precautions during the procedures, these experiments use harmless synthetic chemicals to protect students while giving them a real-world, hands-on experience.
