DEPCO, LLC,
The Engineering/Technology Teacher Education program at Purdue University aligns well with the Standards for Technological Literacy in promoting educational opportunities for all students. We prepare teachers with capacity to engage secondary students in learning engineering and technology concepts. As a faculty member in the College of Technology and strategic hire in Purdue’s P-12 STEM Initiative, I would like to express my appreciation DEPCO’s support over the last decade or so.
DEPCO has consistently provided expedient service and quality equipment for use in our teacher education program. DEPCO, as a company, makes an effort to reach out to the customer and identity their individual needs and develop a plan to meet those needs. Our lab is well outfitted with modern educational experiences provided and supported by DEPCO.
DEPCO provides customer service including technical support, maintenance support and curriculum support. For example, as computers are undated on campus, occasionally a need arises for troubleshooting the new computer with existing equipment managing the software drivers. DEPCO helps ease that transition through their technical support department which means I can provide a quality education to our students.
DEPCO is more than just a retail supplier – they are also an educational experience designer. DEPCO has participated in planning our new lab in preparation for a pending renovation. Their expertise and efforts included personal visits to understand our needs, phone and email communications and development of a lab layout (for the architect including utilities) and a materials and equipment list for our purchasing department.
DEPCO provides the extensive services associated with a large cooperation and the familiarity of a small town business. Our consultant, PJ Hall, sends cards of the holidays and enjoys lunch with our faculty when he is in town. This level of personal interaction means we are provided with quality service that can only be provided through a professional friendship.
Thanks PJ and DEPCO!
