Description

In Residential Plumbing, students gain a solid understanding of the tools, terms, and techniques found in the plumbing industry. After a thorough orientation to safety standards and procedures, students put together and take apart a lavatory faucet. As they proceed through the course, students mount a kitchen sink faucet and install a kitchen sink wastewater removal system, a showerhead and faucet, shut-off valves, water heater lines, and other plumbing components. As students complete each hands-on activity, they learn about the different kinds of pipes and fittings, common issues in home plumbing, and much more.
